If it includes the husband also, I'm good with it even though I disagree with a business paying for a personal option in life.

The problem is, absolutely everything the democrats champion is a social issue. They literally turn every issue into a social issue. And they win because people are stupid enough to buy it. Case in point; immigration. Immigration is in no way a social issue. It's a national security and economic issue. Dems know they can't win arguing those points so they turn it into a social issue and call everyone who disagrees a racist.

Ending the war on drugs is sitting right there but republicans are too ducking stupid to take advantage of that because it would require limiting government.

It is not the business owner's responsibility to pay for pregnancy. Hell, they are already paying for birth control. Pick one...

If we join them trying to FIND stuff to scream and belly ache about we will literally only help them and hurt ourselves worse.

We need to own the media like they have and learn how to be masters of controlling perception.

They should champion removing govt from making social decisions for people and letting people choose to do what they want to do.

Build the roads, police them. Define the borders, protect them. Limit the regs, enforce them.

Fox news is pretty masterful at manipulating right wing opinion. I work out at a place in Shreveport where the majority are 50 and older. I've heard extended conversations next to me at least 3 times in the past couple of weeks about Benghazi. They all parrot what Fox repeats ad nauseam. It's hilarious. Conservatives have no stance on important social issues that resonate with the under 40 crowd. They are on the wrong side of history demographically.

Why do you watch Fox News if you hate it?

The GOP champions a lot of social issues. The problem is that a majority of Americans disagree with them. Look at abortion. A majority of Americans do believe that a woman should have that right but the GOP doesn't champion that.

The GOP is opposed to gay marriage and most Americans are either for it or don't care. A minority of Americans are opposed to it.

So you have nothing to counter what I said about conservatives being on the wrong side of history?

Democrats should be careful as well because the under 40 crowd, as you put it, hates what the over 40 crowd has done.

Democrats will have to figure things out again soon enough because my generation despises what has been done in relation to debt, SS, welfare, etc.

You can thank the older generation for creating a generation of cynical assholes. We will have control eventually.

That's what I mean by wrong side of history Ralph. The Republican base is dying off as are their antiquated social views. Until new young leadership steps in and these fossils in charge of the party die off, the Republicans have no leverage on social issues. Rand Paul would be a huge step in the right direction. I am a big RP fan but I certainly don't like unbridled capitalism.
