Uber - Baton Rouge - up and running?

So, on the heels of the massive constitutional Internet slap fight regarding no refusal checkpoints, I ask the question...
Does anyone know if Uber is up and running in Baton Rouge?
Last I saw, the City Council passed the ordinance allowing for it and someone posted that they had been to orientation and picked up their Uber iPhone.
Enquiring minds want to know.

Thx. Was somehow hoping they would have cars out this weekend so I could jump in one. Guess it is good ole "waiting 30-45 minutes isn't an inconvenience in out opinion" Yellow Taxi for me.
The "slap fight" to which I refer is taking place in the No Refusal Checkpoint thread. The "DWI's are so evil that suspending the Constitution to battle them is warranted" crowd has squared off with the "frick da police, laws are bad" crowd. It got pretty good for a bit.*

Not just yet. The city is holding them off while they get one last super weekend of raping their citizens' constitutional rights.
The mayor's office has one month to make up all that revenue they'll lose once Uber gets here. So prepare for checkpoints on every conceivable road. It's gonna be a long couple of weeks.

Sure. He "wants" Uber here. But that revenue stream needs to be replaced.

As a fellow spelling and grammar Nazi, I appreciate your attempt at educating me BUT you should have recognized the obvious reference to the National Enquirer tabloid magazine catchphrase. "Enquiring minds want to know." At least I didn't misuse "loose" for "lose" which is the single most common grammatical mistake on TD.
