LINK
Does anyone think Duck Dynasty needed any of our tax dollars to be successful??
Is anyone surprised the let Jindal have exposure on their show? Is anyone surprised Jindal does nothing to end this big government subsidy?
Where does Jindal's brother work?? Oh yeah--a DC law firm that represents film and BP.
Who is looking out for taxpayers?? Certainly not Bobby Jindal.

IB, I need you to go educate those fools over on the OT (where this same article was posted well before you posted here). Some of those people have literally no idea whats going on, and they're all circle jerking on their incorrect assumptions.
Just like you, it's pathetic.

Equals less than three months of the subsidies we will give this year.
Miniscule.

Though the benefits are technically given through a tax credit, film and television companies receive them regardless of whether they pay any taxes in Louisiana. This means the tax credits easily turn into a direct cash benefit for most out-of-state production companies.
"Duck Dynasty" will be subsidized by Louisiana to the tune of $38,433 per episode in season one, $107,328 in season two and $328,521 in season three, according to the Louisiana Budget Project.

So only out of state productions with out of state stars should qualify for the film tax credits?
Is there a law against Jindal being on a television show?
I'd be willing to bet that Louisiana has gained more than 6 million back from Duck Dynasty in local jobs, sales tax from DD merchandise, and even DD fans who visit Monroe.
You just hate Jindal.

Why did they need taxpayers subsidies?? Should we subsidize snowball makers too? We don't subsidize snowball makers but there are plenty.

They didn't. But it seems they qualified for them - I don't blame them for taking them. Who wouldn't?

Surely you recognize the difference between then film industry and the snowball industry, right? Or, do you?
