Let's say I acquired a few audiobooks not from Amazon and I would like to put them on my Kindle in the next day or so for the traveling I will be doing for the 4th.

has anyone attempted this before? this pretty simple and something I could find out quickly via google.

I've never messed with audiobooks but being they're just audio files I would think it should be rather simple. What format are they currently?

Not sure at the moment. Just a few torrents I've pulled down off of IPT. I would assume MP3

I'm wondering if the Kindle shows up in My Computer to be navigated and I can simply just drag and drop into the correct folder

Yes, you can just plug it into your computer and the fire can play a decent amount of audio formats. You shouldn't have any problems.

If it's just an MP3, it'll work like one.
