Half the team will be people that are completely off the radar right now.

GK: Guzan
RB: Tough one. Cameron will be too slow for this, Chandler has no IQ for the position, and I want Fabian at LB. Maybe Spector will finally fulfill the promise of three outstanding EPL weeks in a row?
CB1: Besler
CB2: Brooks or Cameron
LB: Fabian Johnson
CDM: Bradley
CM: Luis Gil
CM: Mix
AM/Winger: Aron Johannsson
AM/Winger: Yedlin or Darlington Nagbe
Striker: Jozy

Other players to look for are Lichaj, Shane O'Neill, Corona, Danny Williams, Josh Gatt, McInerney, Boyd, Agudelo, Green, hopefully Zelalem, probably not Shawn Parker though

Step 1: Bolton Wanderers gets promoted at the end of 2014-15.
Step 2: Stu stays healthy for four years. (I know, I know)
Step 3: He leads the USA to victory in Russia.

Like. Yedlin could definitely have a future on the wing.

Gallardo or Pulisic could be factors.... although 2018 may be too soon. Haji Wright as well.

Zelalem would be amazing obviously. Isnt there a young defender named "Shaq" or something worth watching... cant remember...

Some names to add to that list: Armando Moreno, Paul Arriola, Emerson Hyndman, and Brian Iloski. And apparently Parker is looking more likely for the U.S. His dad wants him to play for the USMNT.

I think your list is pretty close. I say Bradley gets the armband.

I'll go with as many youth picks as possible:

GK - Guzan

RB - Yedlin
CB - Besler
CB - Brooks
LB - Johnson

MF - de la Torre
MF - Hyndman
MF - Diskerud
AM - Scott

F/MF - Green
F - Altidore/Agudelo

I think we'll be seeing a lot from Johansson in the future.

Nah, he's gonna be like 32. If he was going to make a WC, this was it. A better bet is Will Packwood. He's 21 and playing in The Championship. He's maybe one to watch.

But I like Johnson and Yedlin as our outside backs.

I hope Altidore improves significantly or we find someone better at striker.

[I know, I know. Bash away.]

What's the story on Hyndman? What's his game like?
