That ended up being not nearly as bad as most of us thought. Same with Sochi for the most part.

I wonder how far apart each site is.

The country DOES span across like 9 time zones.


I bet FIFA will have the US's group play in a stadium in Grozny.

Here are the venues according to Wiki. All of them are in or near the European Russia. That will help with time zone consistency and travel. However, we'll still be fricked on what times we have to be awake if we want to watch games live.

I have fears that our group games will be in Sochi, Kaliningrad and Yekaterinburg.

Hopefully they will keep teams from having to criss cross through Russia and have every group stage game moderately close.

Moscow should be a cool backdrop for the Cup though.Weather won't also be as hot as Brazil. Still can't see how Qatar will be able to handle it.
