And this still falls into the same category as their moves to put these kids into Texas, San Diego, and Long Island, NY... all of which are either red or purple areas which will flip to blue if these kids stay in the area over time and become citizens.
Notice that they're not putting them in LA, San Francico, Las Vegas, the actual Five Boroughs of New York such as Queens or the Bronx, etc., all of which are solidly blue.

It really just sounds like they're doing the typical Dem move of put the problem where we don't have to see it but we still want to feel good about the fact that we said this was the right thing to do.
ETA: Just like the Louis CK bit about how he thought of giving his 1st class seat up on a plane. He would never do it, but the fact that he thought about it made him feel like he was a great person.

This is about the 4th place they have tried.
Every place they have tried has been either a red state or a red area within a blue state.
The law of averages suggests that they'd have accidentally picked at least one blue area by now.
