I think I am about to head out from work. Going to go to the store and wing it, America style. There will surely be a pit involved.

No meal for me. Only whiskey and cigars at the bar.

Bout to clock out, head to the bar, order a shot of Old Tennessee American made Whiskey and a pitcher of Miller Light. Then after we kick Belgium's arse, I'll boil some hot dogs and heat up some bean free chili for dinner later once I'm drunk as piss!

Brined some chicken legs last night in ginger, garlic, brown sugar, kosher salt, fresh herbs(spicy oregano, thyme, rosemay, cilantro, basil stems), mushroom soy sauce, fish sauce, chili garlic crunch, honey, saffron threads bloomed in white wine and half a vanilla bean.
Gonna smoke them over hickory/pecan/cherry wood mix. Then fry em to crisp up. Maybe a light breading with ap and cornmeal maybe naked. Will do a test of each to see. Reduce the brine mixture with more sugar and some vinegary hot sauce down to a glaze and toss em in it
Picked some early silver queen corn yesterday and a couple nice baby yellow squash. Will eat those grilled probably.
