Took the yaks out with two buddys and didn't have much luck. The water was dirty everywhere and didn't have much of a tide. Managed to catch 2 trout on a redfish magic spinnerbait and then caught a trout, hardhead (that was fun in the kayak), redfish, and flounder on GULP! under a popping cork. Pretty shitty day but managed to complete a calcutta so that's pretty cool

Tough fishing on Sat. Very windy. Had to stay inshore. 5 reds, few trout and a flounder.

good day on friday afternoon.

12 smallies on the fly rod. They would only hit a black wooly bugger.

Also caught a nice 18" walleye at the creek mouth.

Took the new yak to Henderson. Got about 100 bites, caught one damn fish. And it wasn't even a bass. A fricken goggle eye on a speed craw.

ETA: he could've at least smiled for the camera.

I did throw a worm under cork before I headed in. Caught a few bluegill just to say I caught samptin.

Are those Columbia shoes? Been looking for some fishing shoes. I don't like flip flops and crocs.

Are those shoes comfortable? I have these and they hurt my feet after standing in them for a few hours.

Fished Grand Bayou in the classy burrough of Coushatta on Saturday evening. I had to wait out a mean storm for about 45 minutes, so I didnt launch until 4pm.

Caught a few on spinnerbait, senko, buzzbait.

Spinnerbait/buzzbait fish were all small

Throat checked this catfish trying to get the senko.

Big one came on black/blue senko

Yeah. Columbia Drainmaker II's. I find they're very comfortable. Excellent traction. They don't dry as fast as they'd have you believe though.

Are you supposed to wear socks with these?

I did for a while to break them in. But they're considered a "water shoe". I wear them comfortably without socks.

I played golf on Sunday and let small balls bank beat the ponds whilst I played. He killed em on a sassy shad. 1 of 12 (he claims). I saw home drag in 4-5.
