You mean killed by himself after breaking the law?

You'd think a true anarchist would just go live in the woods.

No, I mean he was killed by intellectual property. The privileges of granted by the states guns killed him.

Why

Because he would've struck a blow to intellectual property rights in court had he lived.

If he gad lived he would've changed the constitution? It he just would've given nuts a hero?

King went to jail for his disobedience. This guy, just hung out with too many people like you and them when he woke up from dreamland had trouble.

Swartz went about this with a "I'll show you" attitude and he stirred the hornets nest by picking a fight with Jstor. Taking 20 million pages of information from them in an instant just to prove a point after asking a company what it would cost to start up what they're doing really hurt his cause.

I don't understand the victim mentality. He took 2 million dollars worth of documents from Jstor through MIT servers while getting his IP address locked, grabbing a new IP address, getting shut out, and finally hiding the computer directly connected in their network. This all showed that he wasn't worried about consequences until they actually arrived in the form of federal charges.

When times got tough, he took the coward's way out. Nothing killed him but his own choices unfortunately, not the government and not IP.

He was being made an example of, but like many he didn't want to accept personal responsibility for his actions which is a common occurance now.

And the point the proven. They might've killed Swartz, but intellectual property is dying. Swartz won even if they killed him.

That probably sounded better in your head.

By 'they' you mean 'he.' He offed himself. Just another coward not able to face reality.

So he didn't kill himself, someone else killed him?

He was a thief who hanged himself rather than spend 6 months in minimum security detention.

Murder + victim being yourself = suicide

Dude killed himself, he wasn't that big of a government threat to off. Putting him on a pedestal a bit higher than he deserves.

Also, IP isn't dying it's being chipped away at like a giant rock becoming a sculpture, it won't disappear.

I think so, but even accepting their premise, is killing yourself to avoid decades of imprisonment really suicide? Coercion assigns blame.
