He also signed MoPete, James Posey and Tyson Chandler to large contracts, extended Chris Paul and David West, and said frick it, we'll worry about the implications later.
And then later got here, and Bower ended up on the bench holding a clipboard (which likely had a takeout menu on it), and watched the team fall apart.

Well, no doubt, MoPete and Posey were problematic. The other three were pretty much responsible for the franchise's best season evah.

Pretty bad moves post-08 combined with a cheap owner (no fricking scouts . . . really?) But, yeah, the Walrus did shite the bed on his own account.

Yes of course Chandler, West, and Paul, individually, were worth it. The problem was that Bower threw all his eggs into the 07-08 basket. We all thought it was going to be the beginning of something great. But it was actually the beginning of the end. And the franchise has never recovered.
