More legit since no Alabama.

I love lsu baseball, buy Geaux Zone, etc etc
but preseason predictions are just playing stupid, they mean nothing
if you don't perform/get hot at the end no fricks are given

Oh, I hear you, but... offseason.

No Nola, no way.
our rotation will be legit next year.
we won't have an ace like Nola we may never have one again but we have three solid guys in our rotation most likely.

if what we're hearing about Marshall is true, the rotation as a whole will probably be better sans Nola. and by no means is that a knock on Nola, but having Poche with an offseason and adding Marshall I don't see how it can't be better

Poche won't be another Nola, but he can be a solid Friday starter. Poche, Bouman and Marshall should be a nice weekend rotation.

How can you be so sure a guy that's never set foot in college is going to be a legit sec starter?
I'm not bashing him but being so sure he will be a weekend starter is stretching it. I remember last offseason when Glen was suppose to be awesome coming back? He didn't even finish the season!

Because he's a whole lot more like Nola and Gausman than he is Glenn.

The videos I seen on Marshall, he had absolutely no command.

I agree, but Dunn works wonders with young pitchers. Gausman had no command when he was coming out.

Yeah hopefully Dunn will fix it.

I'm more worried that Deichmann gets the proper coaching with his streaky hitting.

I would say expectations out of high school:
Gausman > Glenn > Nola
I personally expected a lot of out Glenn. Thought he'd be really good but he just never developed. I think the dude really loved LSU but had a few too many distractions off the field. His velocity never increased and his accuracy decreased.
I'd also argue that many expected more out of Eades as far as developing into a better pitcher than Nola would develop into.
Mac probably falls in between Gausman and Glenn for me. There's no givens here, but he has all the ability of being an SEC #1 guy like Gausman and Nola.

The thing about Mac Marshall is that he already throws a low-mid 90's sinking fastball from the left side. So it's not like he's a prospect that everyone expects his arm to develop, it's already there, just needs to show control of the slider

Marshall, Godrey, Latz, and Lange are all arms I wouldn't have thought twice if they had signed.
The rotation in 2016 and 2017 will be unbelievable assuming Dunn is still around.
