We're still almost two years away from the release of X-Men: Apocalypse on May 27, 2016, but today director Bryan Singer has posted the below tease of the script by Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.

As you can see, what we're looking at is a prologue battle set at the Nile and involving the Four Horsemen, who were also seen in the end credits scene of X-Men: Days of Future Past along with En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse).

No. Just the only one that doesn't enjoy comic movies but clicks on the clearly labeled threads anyway.

I really, really, hope that Singer can resist following the "Wolverine being made into the Horsemen Death" story line from the comics. We don't need another X-men film centered around Wolverine.

ETA: They should have cast Jason Mamoa as Apocalypse.

What in the whole X-men/Wolverine movie series gives you any hope of that happening?

DOFP didn't focus on him.

Wasn't he was the main character of the movie? I could've sworn that he was the one that went back in time (which was the main plot of the whole movie).

I have to agree. As much as I bashed stupid Singer for screwing up Cyclops and focusing on Wolverine too much, he handled the balancing act pretty well in DOFP.

I reserve pre-judgement on Apocalypse until I hear more solid news on story and characters that we'll see.

He was definitely one of the main characters but Magneto, Mystique and Prof X got equal time imo. And not just meaningless facetime, but they were equally integral to the plot.

It didn't focus on him, but it did increase his role dramatically from the comic story line.

Did he played a significant role? Yes.
Main character? No. He wasn't even in the final act of the film.

The movie focuses more on Professor X, Magneto, & Mystique.

The studio didn't really have a choice on that one tho. No way in hell do you have a more popular & profitable movie if they stick to the original source & send Kitty Pride back in time.

not to mention Kitty Pride would have been an embryo if sent back in time to that period. Wolverine was perfect as a character who doesn't age
