Fuego is alright, probably the most "phishlike" song on the album.

The line- catchy and obvious choice for the "lead song" of the album (was on Dave Lman).

Devotion to a dream- might be my favorite of the album but it's close.

Halfway to the moon- decent/good song.

Witerqueen- kind of gay but I really like the song.

Sing Monica- by far the most obvious pop/trying to get our name out there again song of the album (to the general population). I like it, but it's very 90's boy bandy.

Waiting all night- CP, I agree with you on 95% of music things but I have to disagree here. I know it's not very complex and all that stuff we love about Phish but something about this song just clicks at least for me.

Wombat- just terrible. I hope the live versions change my mind because this song is cringe worthy to me.

Wingsuit- Good song.

Agreed.

I can do without Winterqueen and Wombat.

I am curious to see what they do with the songs live but if they play more than two Fuego songs in OB I will be disappointed.

If they choose one of the those to be Waiting All Night, I pray to the old gods and the new that it is early and swift.

I generally don't like Phish studio albums but this one is pretty good. Wombat and Wingsuit are terrible and are examples of why people call Phish circus music.

I really liked the second song on the album. Don't remember the name of it. Also like Devotion To a Dream. 555 as well.

Fuego, Devotion to a Dream, 555, Sing Monica, Wingsuit, and especially Waiting All Night have all gotten repeated airtime. I think I listened to Joy one time. This is such an improvement.

As far as translating live, we have already seen how great Fuego, Wombat, 555, and Wingsuit can be. I'd bet on at least one of those getting the extended jam treatment several times over the summer. As brillant as Waiting All Night is, I think it is the rare Phish song that is better in studio than live.

The Line sucks. I am still pissed they played that at Jazz Fest.

The album version of The Line sounds so much better than the Jazz Fest and Letterman renditions.

I wish they'd have played Devotion to a Dream at JF.

i've only heard one song so far, and it's decent. i've been kinda slow getting around to hearing more, until i heard that bob ezrin produced the album....that piqued my interest enough to go ahead & order it, and it should be in my mailbox tomorrow....

Agreed on Waiting all night. It's just going to be tough to get the same quality in the vocals and general feel of the song in live performances and that's what makes it great.

Yep. No way the vocals sound anywhere near as good live for Waiting All Night. It's gonna lose a lot.
