I'm pretty sure that Regina Spektor wrote the song specifically for the show at the request of Jenji Kohen.

Before I even clicked I was going to say the same thing. And I like Regina Spektor. But thank God for being able to skip right over it on Netflix.

Agreed. It's pretty clear this show had no male involvement, since someone would have certainly vetoed that song and also have shot down the entire plot line of every male falling in love with a fat Puerto Rican who looks to be the same age as her mother.
