I own SYLD, FYLD, GVAL, MOAT (a core holding), etc.
There are others I find interesting like PKW, IPKW, CSD, but don't currently own them.
Mebane Faber runs SYLD, FYLD and GVAL and has some interesting research to back them up.
Any one else own any of these? MOAT has consistently beaten the S&P 500 and significantly during 2008-2009 meltdown. It's down a few points so far this year.
They are a little pricier than a Vanguard fund but the alpha is worth it imo.

Fidelity shows inception date as 04/24/2012. Is the 08-09 performance determined by back testing or am I missing something?
ETA: nevermind..I looked at their website and see that it was back tested prior to inception date.

Before MOAT existed there was WMW which tracks the same index.
MOAT just made its quarterly rebalance. Some interesting names like Mastercard and Amazon made the list so it's not just old man blue chips.
