Most monitors today have only a simple tilt adjustment and no height adjustment. In order to get height adjustment you have to go to one of the upper end monitors by Dell and a few others. I refuse to put a stack of books under my monitor so it was a no-brainer when I came across a 22-inch refurbished ViewSonic at NewEgg for less than a hundred bucks. Two years now and still going strong. This was a heavy duty business monitor that came off a lease.

Wow. That's a good deal. NewEgg? Thank you.

I'm looking at New Egg right now. How do I know if a refurbished one looks good?

It's a pig in poke to some extent because they only come with a short warranty but I've had good luck with NewEgg refurbs and monitors are pretty trouble free as a rule.

I would just find the cheapest 24" or above LCD monitor with adjustments. I love using refurb and I find nothing wrong with them.
Just wall mount a 32" to the wall in the office and use it as the monitor

You mean take a TV and use it as a monitor? How do I do that?

If you find a good deal on one without height adjustments, you can get a nice stand on amazon/newegg pretty cheap. That's what I ended up doing a while back.

yeah a tv works as good unless you are hardcore gamer or something.. and it's much cheaper to find an hdmi tv.
if you do get a monitor i like asus. not happy with my benQ brand monitor because it cost more and has one dead pixel.

I checked on amazon and didn't find anything less than fifty bucks.

Or buy an arm, which I highly recommend.
