Gas blower issues

What would make my blower only work well on half choke? When I take the choke off, it runs like shite and wants to kill.
I've changed fuel, put new spark plug, and ran sea foam threw it.
What else could be doing this?

Starving for fuel. Carb needs to be cleaned.

What's the best way to do that

You need new gas and oil mix. Old fuel with high ethanol content isn't good for those motors.

yep....something is either stopped up (filters) or one of the fuel lines has a pin hole in it and it is sucking air....

I have one doing the same thing right now. Did the same thing as well. Need to take the carb off and clean the jets out. Or just bring it to the shop and have it done.

Want me to send my neighbor over? He can steal it and sell it to his buddy to fix it.You then get it back like new.
Rebman will want you to pay him though so theres that.

For some reason blowers never run worth a frick.

You may be able to run it at 1/2 choke wide open then slam the choke closed. This will most likely kill the engine and it may take a few minutes to get it started again. If it doesn't kill it, flip it back to 1/2 choke and repeat several times. Doing this will sometimes suck the blockage out of the jets.

bullshite. I'm still running the same Stihl handheld that I had before Katrina. That and my weedeater were both underwater for 2 days and are still working hard every day for me
Put a new plug and air filter in the thing and woke it up

Might be hard to find a carb for a Poulan. I would do a web search.

It is a diaphragm carb.
The diaphragm could be dried out inside the carb don't take much. Diaphragm used over float due to handheld equipment turned upside down, sideways, and anyway you can think.
Sometimes it is a simple cleaning, but 9 out of 10 the diaphragm get dried out. You could rebuild it but a new carb not that much. Hard part is you don't have the tool to adjust the high and low speed on the carb.
You can find the parts online the mfg which is Husqvarna should have schematics online and an outlet to order from.
