I've heard it mentioned before but I've actually laid eyes on it now. Want to try it out in the near future. How's the food and pricing? What would you recommend to eat?

I have found it to be hit n miss, I have had a few great meals and a few average meals there, prices are moderate, dress is casual, river road shrimp as an app is great and I usually go with the fish of the day

It is worth the drive just to take it easy, we usually jump on the plaquimine ferry and take the long way home just to do something different

ate there once, won't go back. gets a lot of love from the BR citizens from this board.

the crawfish étouffée I had was about as bland as it gets…and it was 15 bucks…felt like I got ripped off…could have been a bad experience but I'll go to Parrain's or Chimes before Roberto's

I ate there once. It was years ago and I loved the place. I am out of town and would love to go back.

Go for lunch. Mostly same food but much cheaper. I work right near it, so I frequent it a couple times per week. Love the food personally.

Same as TigerPaw said.... Ive had some fantastic meals there, and a couple mediocre. Not the most consistant of places, but is a nice alternative for a drive & a bite in a unique environment.

I agree with above. I was NOT impressed with the duck. I find the specials to be very good, though once I had the fish special and it was well over cooked. I called the waitress over and I had a new entree very quickly cooked perfectly. The chef (not Roberto) stopped by the table to make sure everything was good.
