Evening guys. Looking for some help. My ac sweats a ton in its closet in our hallway. Wondering if there are any suggestions on alleviating that. Also, on the right side is the drain as well as the copper coolant line running down through the floor into the air return. There is much condensate there as well. Enough to make the floor soft over the years. The substructure is still solid. I wrapped it but its not enough. Is there any suggestions for that? Thought about a giant pvc pipe split and zipped tied around it and stuffed with insulation.. not sure. Thanks

At the apartments I work at when water appears it's usually a clogged line or low on freon. I'd guess the latter....

Did you check to see if the drain is plug. My ac does this when it pluged up. I'd usually blow my drain line out once a year and add some bleach to help with the slime.

It drains well. I rigged up a union and a reducer to hook to my hose and routinely flush it followed by bleach. Its just so damn hot I wondered about installing a fan in that space to.move the air

In the summer in LA your AC will generate like 2 gallons of condensate a day.

There should be a drain for the condensate and it is either clogged or it's supposed to have a vent and someone clogged it up.

I make it routine to grab a funnel and pour drano into the line a few times a year in the spring and mid summer.
