I'm in town in Charlotte for a business meeting. A group of us go to a small beer BAR to catch the US-Germany game. This is strictly a beer bar...I didn't see any liquor bottles, soft drink taps, etc. This guy and his hippieish girlfriend (I doubt they are married) bring their son (I'm guessing he's around 10 years old to the bar). I'm immediately disturbed, but I don't say anything. The "adults" order their beer and the kid orders the one non-alcoholic drink that they offer - Sprecher Root Beer. After five minutes, the kid drops the bottle and it smashes getting stick root beer on a few of us. I was very agitated, but I didn't say anything. Moral of the story, if you have a kid, DO NOT bring him to a bar.
