Other than Messi/Mueller, is Tim Howard the MVP of group play?

I realize you can't simply write off those two guys and all the goals they scored, but TH is the MVP imo. Dude is like a real life super hero or something....

Neymar is living up to his poster boy billing.

What am I missing? He had a couple of decent saves, his best caused by his own blunder right before.

Jermaine Jones has been our best player.

James Rodriguez and Robben.
Honorable mention to Tim Cahill.
Ochoa will be seen as the goalkeeping hero of the tournament unless he has a howler of a game because of his saves against Brazil.

No, but I still think he's the best goalie of the tournament.

I'd probably say HAH-MEZ Rodriguez is the player of the tournament through the group stages.
He's been the most influential player to his team's success besides maybe Lionel Messi. Even Messi hasn't had quite the impact of Rodriguez.

The moment James steps on the pitch they score. He's magical.

Rodriquez is player of the tourney so far for me.

Benzema has been great.

Yep... James Rodriguez has been freaking awesome.
And then you have guys like Robben and RVP who have been great as well.

Also, Tim Howard could have easily caught Mertesacker's header instead of parrying it out for what ended up being Mueller's winning goal.

HAH-MAYS
is how he pronounces it.
Keeper commentaries. Keylor Navas is a beast, as well. Neuer is Neuer, number two in the world. Courtois is Courtois, best in the world.
