TSA Pre-Check Interviews. Any luck just walking in?

I've got my interview scheduled for late next month but would really like to get it taken care of sooner. They take walkins but you're not guaranteed to be seen.
Anybody have luck walking in? Or would I just be wasting my time?

Just picked up my TWIC card today (in Kenner). I watched a lady walk in, ask about pre-check, and finished the process within 15 minutes.

I would chance it and walk in. I don't know about that location but the Nola one was 15 min in and out.

iw ent in last week for a scheduled appointment but I'd forgotten my passport (i.e. my wife left it in her other purse). they told me I could walk in anytime. not sure how long I'll have to wait.

my Mom got hers, it's just a couple of questions and they run a quick check for warrants.

It took me 33 days to go from Appointment (Fingerprint) to get my KTN. They are behind and don't depend on the website for status.
I would make an appointment, I tried walking into the one in BR and it makes the DMV look organized.
Bunch of low class scum getting their TWIC, TSA, etc cards.
