I'm curious to see the board's opinions. I'm feeling adventurous so I'm trying to decide whether I want to try Philly Me Up, Omi, or a sushi place today

Sushi Masa if you are not a fan of raw, their AYCE is lacking with raw stuff.

Kaminari buffet is $10 and has great hibachi. Sushi is pretty good for a buffet. I always get my money worth

Really can't beat this. When I don't want to spend 30$ and have my sushi craving, I can get it there without breaking the bank as often.

Yep. My roommate and I do that place regularly. Generally, when we wager on stuff, the loser buys the winner lunch over there. Since he has work, I don't want to go there today without him; I'd rather try some place different. Raw/cooked, I eat them all.

Drunken fish,

My go to more for vietnamese since it's the closest without going way out on Florida.
Especially now that they have Ban Mhi's

The one by LSU has the $10 lunch buffet. The one on corporate and the one near I-10 in Prarieville are full price all day.

Surprisingly, Rock N Sake has a great lunch deal. $12 for soup/salad/specialty roll/soft drink.

But really, all places offer lunch specials that are a steal.

Just doesn't taste good to you or is the concept of all you can eat sushi for $10 just a little too disconcerting?

I guess you could say both. Jones and I went in the early stages of our relationship and let's just say any shyness of going #2 in the same house was gone. We were thanking goodness he has two bathrooms. Otherwise, you might have had a Bridesmaids bathroom scene.

That's really unfortunate. My roommate and I go there often and have never had any issues like that.

I hope you can set aside a good portion of the afternoon to spend in the bathroom. I tried it twice and both times became emergencies within an hour.

You may be right. I've never gone inside as it's not very convenient for me.

Maybe its your shitty bowels then. I go all the time and never have done that.

Kaminari is best value at lunch by a long shot. The rolls are halfway decent and the hibachi doesn't suck.

See, I don't care for hibachi and I don't eat enough to justify AYCE.

Can spend $10 for a box at Yama and be full and have high quality stuff.
