It's literally the best thing on their menu. I had Chong Qing whatever and Cumin Spice whatever... NO.
Garlic. Sauce. Eggplant.

It's fairly large.

I always enjoy this dish and yesterday was no different. So freakin good. Pretty spicy but good.

The spicy cumin pork is good too.

Also ants climbing trees.

I've had several things from Omi actually and never had anything bad.

For a while I would order something different every single time I went. Tried a lot of different things but now I always go with the spicy cumin pork or Chong Qing chicken. Those two are by far my favorite things but that's certainly not to say I didn't like any of the other dishes I had. Just like those two the best.

I went yesterday and they served everybody a cup of soup with their entree and gave us all a slice of watermelon after the meal. I order to go from there a lot and have only dined in a couple of times. Do they always do that? The soup was really good.

I tried the Chong Qing chicken today. It was phenomenal. I'd never had anything like it. I just wished it had been served with a side dish with a little sweetness to it to help temper some of that salt and heat.

I didn't get any watermelon (would have been perfect), but the soup was some of the best of its kind I've had anywhere.

It actually was the perfect thing to finish the meal after the heat of the Chong Qing.

I tried both the garlic sauce eggplant and the spicy cumin pork at Omi and didn't care for either. The sauce on the eggplant was great but it was eggplant overkill and it was way too mushy for me. The cumin pork was pure salt and tasted like over seasoned fajita meat. I liked the Chong Qing chicken the first time I went but lately it's been very dry. My favorites at Omi are their sweet n' sour dishes made with the dark vinegar. Personally I think the Chinese/Szechuan dishes at 9 Dragon Noodle House are better. Their fried spicy dry beef is similar to Chong Qing only better.

To all people in this thread, do yourselves a favor. Go to 9 Dragon Noodle House. Order the Amazing Chicken lunch special, hot and sour soup, and fried spicy dry beef. You can thank me later.

Absolutely. It consists of tender beef slices lightly coated in a slightly salty/spicy coating, then wok-tossed with lots of garlic, jalapeños, and Szechuan peppers. It's not overly spicy -- the perfect mix of salty and spicy. Here's a pic...

Hello Sushi is good but its about the same price as the best three places in town.

Yama
Koto
Ichiban

Quantity:
Sushi Masa (or so I've heard)

Kiminari sucks.


Wahada is probably the best cheap option

I don't see how anyone could not like Sushi Masa. You can get as many specialty rolls as you want (and they are damn good), all the sushi/sahimi you want, plus all the sides (pepper tuna, tuna tataki, dumplings, potstickers, katsu, various salads, teriyaki, fried rice, lo mein, plus numerous other items), all freshly made to order, not to mention dessert, plus a free drink, all for under $15.

Only bad thing about the place is that the service is sometimes lacking. Other then that, it's hard to beat.

And for the record, Hello Sushi is at the bottom of the BR sushi totem pole.
