So I'm nearing the end of the first season. This show makes me gut laugh out loud at least a couple of times an episode.
Probably one of the funniest parts was during the limo episode, where he finally get's into the club, finds out that the models were all unavailable, and says "frick, I had a sure thing in the limo" and runs out to chase the limo down.
These latter episodes aren't as funny, and they're getting more sad. Still good. I guess they're introducing some more drama and trying to humanize them more.

Fantastic show, and I am pissed that it got cancelled. Stephen Merchant is hilarious.

Crap, I just googled it and saw it's been cancelled. :( I don't see why. It can't cost that much money to shoot.

Hated the show. They just really went out of their way to be over the top awkward and that was the only note they really hit. Glad it was cancelled.

I too am glad it was cancelled. I found it really sad, awkward, and not very funny like it should have been.

Completely disagree. They had good relationships between characters. It wasn't all awkwardness. It was more or less arose out of Stuart's pursuit of getting laid.

I sort of been where he's at: being willing to go the extra mile to hook up, but being totally inept at it. I was a horrible bachelor, and I hated it. Thank God I met my wife.

Yeah they are at least getting a movie to sort of close things up properly.
And like someone said, it wasn't all just awkwardness at all. There was some good heart to it. I watched it earlier this year, knowing it had gotten cancelled, and couldn't understand why it wasn't getting ratings...seemed like a pretty straightforward comedy that would hit with lots of people IMO.
