The Presbyterian Church USA recently approved an initiative to divest stock holdings in companies allegedly profiting from Israel's occupation of
Palestinian territories.

The PCUSA has been over-run by liberals. It's not about souls so much as its about catering to left-wing views.

It's been going on for a long time in the mainstream Protestant denominations. Started in the '60s when churches and academics became the refuge for draft evaders and war protestors.

Not sure I agree with that in the least.
Catholics have historically been far far more liberal than protestants.
You cannot compare academia zealot liberalism to religious liberalism in the least.
Presbys have always been the most anti-Jewiah of all the Protestant religions. Lutherans are the exact opposite.
You stereotyped with a vengeance in your post. Why?

I'm probably a lot older than you and I've been there. I was also raised a Presbyterian and anti-semitism was not a part of it. When I write of the radicalism in the mainline churches, I am referencing the hierarchy, not the rank and file. And there is no vengeance in what I said, just speaking the truth.
