Damn that's expensive
I stayed there pretty soon after it was built and had a blast
The parts I remember

Yeah that would be in Orange Beach and yes really. They are among the nicest condos in the area. What did you expect? You get your own private hot tub and bbq on each balcony. You won't find that at any Phoenix condo...and some of them can be just as pricey.

Just came back from there for a bachelor party. Really nice place! Is it worth 2K? Hell no!
Drive a bit further and stay in Destin. The water in Gulf Shores is trash right now.

they are pretty fricking nice, probably nicer than any condo in Destin as well

Was looking for 3 nights in late July or early August.
It's my 20 yr anniversary coming up. I would pay 300-400
a night but not 600 fawk that.

Hell, I would give Panama the nod. Their beaches are much better than Gulf Shores.

check out Silver Shells in Destin, you can get just as nice a place as Turquoise Place for almost half the price

Well you called it trashy. The city does an excellent job at maintaining the community and keeping the beaches clean. If you meant trashy people it doesn't have anymore than any other town along the Gulf. I would even say that during the peak of tourist season Panama City would have the edge with the nightlife it offers.
Now I will agree with you their beaches are nicer. Water is a bit clearer and they keep them clean as well. It isn't a gigantic difference though.
