I'm thinking about going tomorrow. Haven't made it for any other World Cup games yet. How early do I need to get there for a decent spot? Don't necessarily need a seat but I want to be able to see the game well.

ETA:

Depending in the weather it will need to be fairly early. I'll be there for the Algeria game, so I'd say at least as early as that.

We were planning around 2:30 or so, is that too late?

You will be outside. I'm getting there before 9:00 and will probably get a seat.

ETA: They have a bar(beer only) and TV set up outside with a cover to provide shade.

They have plenty of TVs. If you are inside you will have a decent view.

You sure rugby won't be taking up some of those screens?

Good lord.

NOLA needs a 2nd soccer bar. Austin has 4.

How is the setup outside?

And what's a good second option if Finn's is too packed?

There are other places that will be packed. Finn's just has the best atmosphere. It is only like this for a few events.

Rendevous on Magazine is where the local AO chapter views the USMNT.

talked to 1 of the bartenders at the Bulldog on Canal Blvd (not my 1st option to view a soccer match, but in a pinch it would do)... he said it was fairly well packed for the match against Ghana... and they are expecting more tomorrow

Now that I've moved away I'm gonna try to get into Somewhere in Augusta tomorrow. Supposed to be the AO place over here.

No, I want more people going to other places than Finn's. Who do you think made finn's the SB and OT place to be in NOLA?

Yep, me.

A lot of places are going to be packed, all over the country. The USA finally has great access to the best leagues in the world and this World Cup has been absolutely fantastic.
