HTC One M8 or Galaxy S5?

I just don't see the big deal about it. My Z10 performed just as well as this phone. Camera is pretty good, though.

Touchwiz sucks. Bootloader is locked down tight on AT&T/Verizon so you can't get rid of Touchwiz.

I have a Note 3, and can't say enough good things about it. And yes, I know it was not on your list of two options...

Don't know about the S5 but I have a M8 and love it. Went from an Iphone to the M8 and will never go back.

I have the m8 and it's the best phone I've ever owned. lightening fast, silky smooth, and a good looking phone. app switching is a breeze, speakers have great sound, especially bass. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Add one to the list.. LG g3.. I have the g2 and the g3 will be worth it...

Out of those two, I'd say M8.. But I'd also look at the G3. Im done with samsung until touchwiz is gone or gets a major rehaul... I have a note 3 and touchwiz bogs it down big time.. A phone with specs like the Note3 should have zero lag.

Those are just the two best phones currently available at my carrier. I'm not doing anything today or this week so if something comes out that is as good or better I'll adjust my search. But the G3 probably won't be available for me for a while.

I really like the speakers on the m8. Not sure i'm a fan of the power button being on top with a phone that size though.

The M8 looks nice, but the only reason I ruled it out is I read the camera is pretty weak. I don't use my phone for a whole lot, so pictures are important.
And as far as the S5, I've read nothing but mediocre reviews. But I've only read links from this site, so maybe that's skewed a bit.

I haven't really read any great reviews of the s5 in the last couple hours.
Outside of snapchat I rarely use my camera so having a mediocre camera isn't a huge deal to me.
