Can't we just start bumping old threads discussing the same thing?

WHH has no positive accomplishment but, OTOH, he was infirm for his entire time in office. Kind of hard to frick something up if you die that soon.

James Garfield is in the same boat since he got shot and lingered for months before finally dying.

It was unanimous in last week's thread that it was Reagan.

No. No credible historian (or person) would do so at this point in his subpar tenure. There was this one president who did nothing to prevent the country from splitting in two. There was another who was a clinically paranoid machiavellian who may well have sabotaged peace talks to influence his own election. And yet another who got us involved in a war that had nothing to do with us (WWI) simply to get a seat at the table at the peace talks.

Obama could have done it. This Affirmative Action failure has pretty much f*cked up everything he has put his hands on.

nothing could have prevented that. And destabilizing your military
with a global conflict on the horizon is much worse (FDR)

I almost put him in the running. He also massively fricked up those negotiations.

Lincoln directed the Army to kill millions of Americans. That was pretty bad.

Gotta be WHH. All he did was call in sick.

You're right. Any reasonable president would have known that, sat on his hands, and hoped for the best as the nation bordered on dissolution.

I'm imagining you waiting in anticipation of this angle taking off.

Sadly, it probably will. For 96 pages.

I do not think Lincoln was a great president; however, FDR, LBJ and Obama have screwed up the situation for the long, long haul.

Never thought any president could challenge Lyndon Johnson on my all-time worst list but little barry is making a sincere push for the top.

Well he hasn't killed as many Americans as Lincoln yet so he still has a way to go.
