So I finally dropped my phone in the toilet. Years of playing games while sitting there, it was bound to happen at some point. I had an OtterBox Commuter on it. Quickly retrieved it (thankfully I had just sat down and there was no dirty water to deal with) and turned it off, took the case off, and dried it as much as I could. Putting it in Rice or Kitty Litter would have to wait since I was at work. I turned it back on and it seemed to work fine. I kept getting an error message when I tried to charge it, but it seemed to be charging yesterday with my Apple cable and plug. Last night, it wouldn't charge on the other Apple cable and plug I have for it. But it would charge on the speaker dock I have at home. So I put it in Rice overnight. Sat it back on the dock this morning, and it was charging up. Well now that I'm at work again, my charger here won't charge it, and my speaker dock here won't charge it. Other than this, it is working just fine. No screen issues, headphone jack works, camera and flash works, etc.
Would replacing the charging port help this, or is there something else that I could do? I supposed I could just leave it on the dock at home to charge it up every night until I get it fixed, but I was hoping there were some other tips or tricks y'all might have experienced if this has happened to you.
I did turn it off, blow out the port, and sit it back on the dock and it came on and is charging now.

This happened to me as well a while ago. Mine seemed fine as well at first but I also made the mistake of plugging it in. I changed the battery myself and it helped at first, but I ended up having to get a new charging port. Now it works fine. You can do it yourself pretty cheap or take it to one of those shady iphone repair places and they'll charge you out the arse to fix it.
