Thousands and thousands of restaurants
Wife and I hit up johns of bleeker for pizza and went to the lombardis which is the first pizzeria in US
Both were amazing
Go to little Italy and Chinatown and eat an authentic meal. Plenty to choose from

Quality Meats near Plaza Hotel is fantastic. Great steaks but cool environment and other menu items as well.
Shake Shack for late night burgers.
Cranberry Deli near Times Square had excellent breakfast for cheap.
Carmine's in Times Square is a family style Italian place that is delicious. Go by and see their weekly specials and pick which night to go based on that. It's very good.
Miss Lilly's in the village is a cool Caribbean style place with excellent food and atmosphere.
I suggest you get recs for each neighborhood and pick based on convieneice. Make reservations where allowed at multiple places to give you options. It saved us a lot of time.
