After Decatur's thread earlier, I looked into today's Walker story a bit more, and noticed how it had been reported.

I saw the story on NYT's page with the headline of "Prosecutors in Wisconsin Say Gov. Scott Walker Had Central Role in Fund-raising Scheme." Not until 6 paragraphs down did it point out that this investigation had been halted by two judges.

Then I checked twitter and just looked up #ScottWalker. What I saw was a shitload of melt, melt, melt. I saw a particularly hilarious one from the Daily Kos guy about "deferred victory" after the recall.

Then I realized, this guy inspires liberal melt the likes of which I have not seen recently.

This alone has to bode well for him, right?

ETA: aforementioned thread here

Good candidate, but I don't see him at the top of a ticket. PAUL/WALKER 2016 would be solid.

I suspect that ticket would crash and burn.

Can't wait to hear about their take on Eric Holder's Fast and Furious scandal.

Do you expect for the IRS fiasco to be tied in on every story written?

In seriousness, the NYT does deserve criticism for this. They've been quite quiet on the simultaneous crash & "'lost' emails not mentioned for a year" story- and it IS an important story, if you care at all about government transparency.

Yet they didn't hesitate to run with this Walker story, which is at best a potential, long-shot big deal. And with a very suggestive and misleading headline, relative to the story itself.

In fact, the way the Walker thing has been reported looks just a smear attempt and little more. Ditto for the investigation on him.

Scott Walker is not POTUS material.

He would have been soundly defeated by Michael Dukakis.

Nobody takes him serious outside Wisconsin. Maybe as much as they take Bobby J serious

I think Elliot Spitzer could win a Presidential Election against Scott Walker and he has a well documented Hooker fetish.

I think there's a decent chance that he doesn't win re-election, but that's just looking at the polls. I'm not knee deep into the dynamics of the race.

And he doesn't have a B.A. I think Truman was the last president without a college education.
