Same device (xbox 360) and I'll get consistent HD picture on netflix while watching anything on HBO GO is almost unbearable with the buffering every 20 seconds. Anyone else experience this issue?

HBO probably isn't paying your ISP extra to do their job.

Do you pay for HBO? I'm just asking because it seems odd that a cable provider would slow down something you buy from them, however, if you are using someone else's HBOGO, I could see them slowing it down to try and force you to actually pay for it.
A blogger was able to prove that his ISP was slowing down his NetFlix by accessing it over a VPN, which encrypts and forwards his traffic so the ISP couldn't tell he was accessing NetFlix. Google Free VPN to find one to try out and if your bandwidth problems go away while using the VPN, then your ISP is slowing down HBOGO and there probably isn't anything you can do about it.

What makes you think you won't get the same answers?

I find it to be hbo's servers. I only have problems during peak hours I have noticed. Works fine in middle of the daay

HBOGo on my PS3 always buffers mulitple times an episode and sometimes errors out. I usually have to rewind 10 seconds and then it's all good to go. It doesn't do that on my chromebook. Netflix works flawlessly on my PS3.

I think netflix uses AWS to spin up servers as needed. Maybe HBO tries hosting it all themselves????

Besides trying to watch GoT right after it is put on HBOGo I have never had a problem.
