There's no need for guns outside the ranks because ISIS will protect the people...unless they don't like you, in which case they'll kill you...in which case you won't need a gun because you'll be dead.

I cleared a town or two in Iraq. We had orders to take every weapon we found regardless of whether or not the owner was suspected to be an insurgent.

Yeah but that was more of a protocol or temporary action not like our govt permanently imposing a gun ban.
