Seriously?

What are your thoughts?
Are they making a mountain out of a mole hill? Or is this a serious problem?

Of all the stuff I read today, a shortage of black offensive line coaches was not expected to be on the agenda.

This is also incredibly stupid.

Must have been slow news days for them to come up with that to write about.

Well of course if you are not an African American OL coach you will not like this article. I played OL and have coached OL for over 25 years. I've done 2 NFL Internship under Kugler (OL Buffalo) Wash (OL Detroit). I've clinic with some great SEC OL coaches they aren't teaching or doing anything different than I am at Gardner Webb or any of the other schools I've coached OL.

betcha he can throw a ball over them mountains, too

Connections are important, and it seems like he has no one to vouch for him. If he did he wouldn't be at gw.

And this explains the current lack of black OL coaches, coordinators, etc.

As I've said before, it will take time but it will eventually happen. Football is a meritocracy, but you can't prove your worth without an opportunity. This is why the Rooney Rule (which only guarantees an opportunity to interview) is still important.
