Passed from a brain anyerusm(SP?)

This one hits me hard, I was an intern at ESPN Dallas and ESPN Radio 103.3 FM in Dallas and got to work with him.

He just wrote a blog post this afternoon

Our lifelong babysitter who babysat me and my sisters from birth to age 14-15 died from a brain aneurysm at age 29. She was perfectly fine

How does one prevent these?

you can't, sadly. not unless you're at a hospital when they are happening and they are already scanning your brain.

its kinda like cancer. you cant really prevent it from ever happening but you can lower your risks by not smoking, staying in shape, not becoming an alcoholic, etc

So sad that, from all accounts, Durrett did none of these and was one of the nicest guys in the business. From twitter, looks like he sent personalized father's day texts to half the sports writers in Dallas on Sunday. Tough to comprehend that something like this can happen so suddenly.

Just read this on Twitter. I feel awful for his family. Great writer that was definitely on the verge of creating a national name in MLB reporting.

Brain Aneurysm headaches are very sudden.

Most people with normal headaches notice a slow buildup over time for routine headaches. Anything super severe that instantly pops up and doesn't go away is a sign.

You also can get like a really stiff and sore neck, if I ever get both I am calling 911 right away. This is probably the cause of death I have been most paranoid about since a friend of our family died at a very young age.

Super creepy that he was working and writing articles this morning and something like that happens and it's all over. This could literally happen to any of us at anytime. Makes it the scariest thing out there IMO.

Poor kids. Right after Fathers Day.

The surgeries to remove these things are pretty scary as well. They can go very WRONG.
