I searched, but I didn't see anyone post anything about it so here you go.

Opening dove hunting hours at one-half hour before sunrise on all dates in each split

Just means we get to start the drinking early!

Noon - 3 is usually dead anyway. Maybe we can bust a few early on and then take an afternoon nap.

Tradition changer is the only reason not to like.

And everyone else can still hunt on their land starting at noon.

The positives of the older gentlemen we hunt with not having to sit in 90 degrees to hunt far outweight the negatives of starting later.

We can still cook a dove gravy and drink beer while watching football..starting much earlier

this is good news

we get loaded up with doves as soon as the season ends. I guess we will find out if those little guys can really read a calendar

I bet I could clean my limit and have them frozen before I went back out that afternoon. Thank goodness I'm not a betting man or law breaker.

i always hated that noon start time. Hot as frick, and birds are generally not moving then, but you just can't not go out there and hunt, since you've been waiting all year. I do understand and enjoy the tradition of lunch and beers with your homies.

So, maybe get out early, kill a few then start cooking.
