That game featuring the national champs kicks off an hour earlier (same night), its on ABC, and in the Jerry Dome. I didnt realize this until I saw the Mandel list.

What a great night of football so early in the year, but still I dont really like the slot. Seems like we are the 'also-ran' game after the featured event.

Depends on what the score is when our game kicks off. If its close then yeah not many people will be watching us.

To most of the country, yes. You have the national champs and Heisman winner against another top 15 team. LSU and Wisconsin are both in a down year compared to last season and the Big Ten is usually boring to watch anyway.

Kind of defeats the purpose of why we play an early season foe like this at a season kick-off type event. Well, f it, nothing we can do about it but really shine that night.

Didn't realize they were even playing. The rest of the country can do what they want. I'll be in Houston.

Not for me

And football fans will most likely go back and forth like I do when the tigers are not playing.

Me neither. I really don't care. I'll be focused on the LSU game. And I'm sure it will still help recruiting in the Houston area.

Yeah. I bet that game does pull in a higher rating, but I wouldn't think it would be too big of a difference.

The wife and I are going. I'm excited about getting away for the weekend, going to hit up the Astros game that Friday night too.

That being said, sharing the timeslot sucks. To share the timeslot, I'd rather be at home.

Depends on which game is closer. If either game is a huge blowout and the other is a tight ballgame, I'd imagine the casual fan will flip to the close game.
