I've got this grass growing in patches situation going on.
What might cause this and what would be the solution be, besides more frequent mowing, obviously.
Sorry no foot in pic, needed the wide angle for comparison.

Is it this same type of grass growing throughout your lawn? Just some patches are growing faster than others? I can't tell if it is the same variety of grass.

Dog poop = more fertilizer on one spot.

Area with shade more of the day and a grass that prefers it?

+1, maybe that us where an old garden was, old fertilizer?

Brand new house, no old fertilizer. I do have a dog, but the "fertilizer" and the high spots aren't in the same spots.
It's the same type of grass too.

Dog piss will do the same thing. Water down the piss spots or they will burn the grass. Its essentially fertilizer burn.

I agree, poo spots high grass, pee spots low grass

Quit having anxiety, mow your yard and be grateful it looks so good.

agreed....if you don't think it is dog shite, maybe a cat is shitting in your yard at night or something like that...
whatever it is, it looks cool!...

Yep, my little dogs poop does that. It disintegrates pretty quickly and spots show up within a month or so.

What are you growing on the fence racks?

What's up with the gas can? You plan on burning your lawn?

On city sewer or septic? My field lines cause my grass to grow odd. Some places it grows greener and faster than others.

That would be where the leach field is. It gets consistent water and fertilizer.

Nice. How tall is the corn?
