Apparently he's trying to be "bipartisan":

quote:

Republicans in Congress are urging U.S. military action in Iraq to stop a Sunni insurgent group that has taken over territory including Mosul, the country's second largest city.

Its just weird that we would be fighting with ISIS in Syria and then cross the border we would be fighting against them.

What is there to even consider? Get the targets and let the bombs fly. Show ISIS what happens when the shoe is on the other foot.

It's also weird that if you tell enough lies they begin to cross themselves.

We're not fighting with ISIS and I think you know that. The argument for giving aid to the rebels in Syria is that if Syria is overtaken by ISIS, then we've got a shitstorm. Better to help other rebel groups. FWIW I think this is a stupid strategy. And you can argue that it is (as I am) without resorting to Glen Beck silliness).

We should never have gone into Iraq. If you read Cheney and Bush I post Gulf War I, you'll see what's happening was one of the reasons they decided not to take him out then. Too bad Cheney didn't listen to Cheney.

You have uneducated, extremist people who fit far better in the middle ages than they do in this century. We should learn from their dictators in the past, you have to rule them with an iron fist. If you let off repression, you have Iran in the late 70's. And if you get involved, you're seen as the Satan like Iran in the late 70's.

We shouldn't have tried to nation build in Afghanistan, we shouldn't have taken out Saddam, once taking him out, we shouldn't have tried to nation build. And now we should stay the hell out of all of that shite.

this admin is hilariously inept. the US gov has been providing aid to ISIS for quite some time against syria.

so why would they bomb them in iraq?

What he shot on the course yesterday is more important to me than those animals that have been killing each other for thousands of years over there.

except they have access to a major part of the world's oil supply and then they would have the $$$$ to buy a nuke or just a "base camp" to set up to attack us
