Any other stepfathers out there this Fathers Day?

Heard from the gang today, all of them, two are mine & two stepchildren from the last (absolutely last) marraige. Was caught a little off guard when I realized I was so much more touched by the call, email pics & text from the later.

No. I expect a call from the kids. Would probably be hurt if it didn't come. The other two do it for different reasons. I am not their Dad, despite the fact I raised them & since their mom & I are no longer together. Wasn't always this way. Think they have finally reached the age they realize what I contributed (literally & figuratively) in their youth. Just a fulfilling emotion.
