It does make sense for a guy that controls the ocean and it's critters to look like he is from the islands.

So.... Are all these characters going to be introduced via Batman's dossier files in a giant montage?

We'll probably see some scenes with them. Nothing too major but enough to setup the Justice League movie. My guess the other day was that Superman finds himself stretched too thin by some challenge causing Batman to join him and that's when we'll see the others start to emerge.
If we get an X-Men First Class scene where Batman & Superman go around the world to recruit gifted people, then I might burn the theater down.

I think they'll have their little spots in the movie to set things up, can't imagine them being huge roles right off the bat. Aquaman's set up in the universe may be the easiest of them all given the thing in MoS that f'd up the Indian Ocean

Aquaman's role in the movie has been out there for a while. Short appearance, is pissed off about Zod's attack on the ocean. Whether that takes place in the U.N. or someplace similar hasn't been spoiled.
I'd think this would be a bigger appearance than Hawkeye in Thor. Not just a one-liner that has little to do with the movie.

Two with major roles (and they're in the title), one with a minor role. We don't know if Vic even becomes Cyborg in this one and Aquaman's only been discussed as a very minor role.

Aquaman traditionally is a blonde. I wonder if he'll be dyeing his hair blonde. I think Momoa'd fit better as a villain. Someone like Sinestro or Kalibak.
