Just delved into the world of NFA transfers. Will post a timeline here for anyone else considering basic NFA stuff. Mine is a suppressor.

6/7/14: purchase date.

6/13/14: ATF form 4 info deemed good by seller, awaiting form 3 approval.

Purchased: February 2013

State lost my paperwork

August 15: no longer need state

ATF pending: December 23, 2014

Was told "should be approved in October" by an batfe employee on Monday or Tuesday.

Text me later today. I have a friend who manufacturers suppressors and is a top notch gun Smith. He has crazy great prices on cans and internally suppressed barrels too. He could have saved me a few hundred on my AAC too.

Will do. I'm being told that the electronic form 4 is being completed in about 4 months, but I don't believe it.

Electric form 4's are no longer available, unfortunately. Paper form as a trust is the way to go for the time being.

That's him. I went to school with him years ago. Been by his shop and talk to him regularly about class 3 and other firearms. He's convinced me that his stuff can hang with the big boys. Stop by his shop and he will convince you too.

Tigerlaff, the E-file was that fast. But for some unknown reason, they stopped allowing it. File your shite and wait like the rest of us.

What did you buy? You know that your fatass twin got his sdn-6 a few months ago. He was supposed to get my 300blk upper to play with but never did.

Oh yea, I've gotten the opportunity to play with some of Taylor's builds at Sherburne before. He knows his stuff.

AAC m4-2000.

His SBR is chambered for 400 blk now. The subsonic rounds are almost silent through it.

I never knew what upper he got. I'll have to stop by soon and see it.
