What would be harder? (Golf vs. Basketball)

A) A bogey-free U.S. Open (72 consecutive holes without a bogey in arguably the toughest golf conditions).
vs.
B) A Game 7 NBA Finals quadruple-double.
Yes, I know this is stupid, but I'm curious to this boards reaction, as both occupancies (potentially) are happening right now.
Have there been quadruple-doubles? Yes. Have there been bogey-free tournaments? Yes.
But, at the games highest stages? I'm honestly torn.

This is insanely difficult

This is pretty much impossible, especially given the stipulations.
eta: There have only been 4 recorded quadruple-doubles in NBA history

A*
*Normal US Open rough. With this, you can catch some good breaks and be fine, and on a tight lie in the "rough".

I would say bogey-free US Open is harder.

They're both damn near impossible

I mean Lebron cant do it and hes the goat soooooo
Honestly probably Quad Double. Both are near impossible but B is harder I think

Since you like to critique grammar/punctuation without adding to the discussion...

Okay, so there have only bee 5 quadruple-doubles in NBA history. 2 of them were by Hakeem Olajuwon. Zero were done in the playoffs, much less the Finals, much less game 7 of the Finals.
One guy, Hale Irwin, has had 4 bogey-free tournaments by himself.
However... the last time somebody played a bogey-free tournament on the Tour was Lee Trevino in 1974. That was at the Greater New Orleans Open.
So long story short... I have no idea.

To my knowledge, neither has ever happened.
But I guess I would have to say golf would be "easier" simply because there are what? 156 players in the field who technically start out with a shot to accomplish this.. And it happens once a year.
In basketball, Game 7s don't happen every year and there are typically only 1-2 players with the talent/ability to produce a quadruple double.. if any at all.
Both are basically impossible though.

Yeah the steals/blocks is what makes it so impossible.
The NBA record for most blocks in a Finals game is 9 and for most steals it is 7.

I would probably say the quadruple-double with one of the factors being you have to probably depend on others to make it possible.

Duncan almost had a quadruple-double in game 6 of the 2003 NBA finals.
21 points
20 rebounds
10 assists
8 blocks
21 points
20 rebounds
10 assists
8 blocks

Great question btw. I'm going to go with a bogey free U.S. Open because no one has really come close to pulling that off. A quadruple double is practically impossible as well so you probably won't see either in your lifetime. The latter one seems slightly more likely those as teammates could theoretically help you achieve it although it could be detrimental to the team. I just can't see anyone not making at least 1 bogey in a U.S. Open.

Is this even a question? Bogey free US open is far easier.
Posted on 6/13/14 at 5:17 pm to bamafan425
It's bogeyless and not even close. Nobody has ever or will ever do it. Quadruple doubles has happebed. I'm not even sure a bogeyless tournament has ever happened.

how do you figure that??
