There's simply no way guns will be outlawed in America.

These idiots need to work on real world problems.

It is objective. Facts come directly from an Aussie newspaper.

On a related note, could you imagine trying to get rid of 300 million guns.

Good luck with that!

It's all relative. When an Aussie police commissioner says gun violence is out of control it means something quite different than the police commissioner in New Orleans saying it.

Breitbart doesn't cite any actual figures but the Sydney Morning Herald gives some insight into the "epidemic" of gun violence:

quote:

This year there have been 72 shootings in public places. Eight people have died in such incidents. On 28 other occasions at least one person has been wounded.

In a city of almost 5 million people, those numbers look pretty good to me. Eight dead would be racked up in just a few typical weekends in Baton Rouge.

Ironic that this is probably the most racist thing I've read today. Or are you referring to all those gun loving racist white rednecks that routinely shoot up their own neighborhoods?

The people you use to get your desired leaders elected are the primary offenders of gun violence, yet you seem to have zero problem with removing the right of those who have proven, statistically, that they are law abiding citizens,

So why not start off with the breitbart article to begin with? I'm guessing you didn't see it yourself.

What am I missing? What did he say that's racist?

In an unrelated matter, why do they report only gun crime? How fricking slimy is that? It proves that gun control has jack shite to do with safety because why ignore crime statistics and then deliberately misrepresent them to push your agenda which you know to be ineffective.

Huh? Where did race come in here? He isn't far off - in 2012 there were 66 murders within BR city limits, slightly more than one each week.

I believe there is a racial component to it. But recognizing irrefutable data isn't racist. Black people commit more crime than the rest of the country. cultural propensity for violence in a country that recognizes, and rightfully so, private gun ownership is an inalienable right and the result is these "gun" crime statistics

Yet our crime is so much lower than theirs

Guns are banned in Chicago right? That should give you a good demographic comparison, what the posters in front of you were trying to convey is that it would be so asininely ignorant to compare crime rates in a city like New Orleans to a city like Sydney that it's beyond belief anyone would reasonably attempt to do so. It would be akin to comparing crime rates between Hyannisport and Kandahar.

Poor blacks and minorities shoot each other at an exponentially higher rate than whites, in even greater numbers where guns are banned, yet the left always wants to take everyone's guns. Interesting???
