Somewhere recently there was a conversation about Arrow the tv show, and when was season 2 going to come to Netflix. The consensus was sometime this fall. Ok.

And there was some complaining about Apple TV not having Amazon Prime or anything other than it's own proprietary iTunes for streaming purposes (other than mirroring). Well I went snooping around on my Apple TV's iTunes television app and noticed for the first time that there is a "networks" category. I went into that and found The CW network. I went into that and found "Arrow" and discovered it has Season 2.

BUT... it is $2.99 per episode to view. Which makes it worth the wait for Netflix to get it.

So I'll have two Fall things to look forward to - LSU football and Netflix's Arrow, season 2, 'cause I ain't paying $2.99 per episode for it.

???

ATV has:

HBOGO
Netflix
History Channel
A&E
YouTube
Espn
Abc
PBS
Crackle
Smithsonian
Weather Channel
Disney
Disney XD

and more.

Granted, you need a provider for some of these, but still.

ETA:

I haven't spent a dime on an iTunes movie in more than a year. I use a site called muchmovies.org. It is clean and not shady at all. No sign ups. It gets movies for streaming before they are available on iTunes. It Airplays beautifully. I pull it up on my iPad and airplay to the TV.

It's fantastic.

Try it.

That's like the very definition of unclean and shady.

I mean compared to other streaming sites of questionable virtue. It doesn't have pop ups, you don't have to register, no creepy Eastern Europe vibe and it even encourages people to share the site. It has a clean, simple UI. Just find your movie and play it. As I Said, it Airplays beautifully. Only drawback is that in the last few months, it has apparently picked up traffic and the servers are a little stressed. Sometimes takes a couple of minutes for the stream to start.

Here is a screen grab of the site. This is the "sorted by ratings" 1st page. You can see how clean the site is by looking at this. I swear by this site:
