I'm looking for something fairly close to the new movie theater on Airline/44. Not really sure what I want, I need suggestions. So far I've tried Country Kitchen (awesome), Carlico Cafe, and the big chinese buffet. Who's got lunch specials and what not?

Sushi place in the parking lot in the old Pizza Hut building. Get the Wasabi Tower, it might not be on the menu...

Sno's is okay, they do something's really well (fried shrimp, fish almandine, soups, ) and a lot of things that are just okay....nothing too special but it is the " nice" place to eat on that side of town

Kamals has some of the best Lebanese , chicken delight, med chicken, etc, Kamal himself can be over the top and obnoxious but if he does not know you he won't bother you too much. His food does end up irritating my stomach, but worth it sometimes

They have a counter culture in Gtown now.
Jambalaya Shoppe if you don't get jambalaya too often.
Any plate lunch from a local grocery store.
Trip out to Houmas House (well worth the drive)
John Michaels Good Eats (dtown)

Country Kitchen just leaves so much to be desired. Makes me long for the country buffets in the Jackson area like Mama Hamills and Two Sisters.

South of Philly (friday's daily special is a shrimp po'boy, fries, and a drink for 6 or 7 bucks), Kamal's, Mike's Po'boy's, T-Wayne's, Philay's, Leader's, Lamendola's, Jubenville's Bakery

Philay's is alright. Had their burger last week and it was good.
I don't get the love for Kamal's. I'd take Albasha everytime, but being summer the wait staff will probably be top notch
The new Leblanc's store has a deli/lunch counter. Had a philly cheesesteak a couple weeks ago that wasn't too bad.
Not sure if The Cafe at The Pavilion is still open, have heard good thing.

Pot Roast Poboy (grab extra napkins), Classic Italian, Muffuletta is a hot sandwich and is pretty good, the wife alway gets the greek chicken wrap because of the fresh veggies on it.

I'll say that the menu is a little too large. Could probably purge some things that arent so great. Making this post has me wanting to go there for lunch now.
