I'm on vacation and haven't watched any sort of tv or listened to any radio. I've only followed the coverage online. What are the media personalities saying and do you see any biased or honest coverage?

Personally, I think it's the beginning of a strong showing of an incumbent backlash on both aisles. It's a shame people don't get to vote what media personalities get to speak and which ones get fired.

what incumbant backlash from the dems? they are in lockstep. Do they even have a contested primary involving an incumbent ANYWHERE?

1) Not about amnesty (it was)
2) Tea Party victory (it wasn't)
3) Low turnout (higher than 2012 and more than twice the voters for 2 other VA primaries the same day)

NPR was saying it was an indictment of Republicans' relationships with Wall Street, the revolving door for lobbyists in Washington, and campaign finance reform.

I thought I read that turnout was only 6% of registered voters.

I guess that could still be higher than 2012 and more than the other primaries.

In 2012, Cantor defeated Floyd Bayne 36,753 to 9,520.

This year he lost to Brat 36,110 to 28,898.

So the total vote increased by 40.49% over 2012, when there was a two-man Presidential primary election in the District as well.
